The project manager will be based in our Arlington, Virginia headquarters. In this role you will be part of the project management team for utility scale solar for our company’s projects, including. Coordination within the company, contractors, inspectors, consultants, local counties, and other agencies. Project manager will oversee projects from permitting phase to closeout and turnover to operations and maintenance team. Responsibilities include estimating, contracting, compiling, and staying within project budget, creating, and staying on schedule, and coordinating material. Procurement and delivery to ensure the project is completely in an effective manner.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute contractor agreements written to ensure compliance with project specifications, budget, and schedule.
- Conduct annual performance reviews of direct reports.

Within this position inspectors will perform frequent quality checks of the electrical, mechanical, and civil systems as well as related gear on individual utility scale solar sites. They will be responsible for the documentation and submission of quality inspection reports to their direct supervisor for review. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the solar industry and solar project development, from real estate to local permitting. A key requirement would be a track record of bringing solar projects from origination, through development, to NTP. A broad understanding of county zoning practices and solar energy is a necessity, as you will be responsible for advising and guiding your team through complex zoning cases. The Business Development Analyst will support the business development team in managing due diligence for financial transactions, including solar asset acquisitions and tax equity mergers.
In the acquisitions role, the Analyst will examine various project development documents, including real estate agreements, interconnection agreements, government correspondences, professional reports, environmental studies, and corporate filings. This examination will focus on red flag review to assess the viability of an asset or portfolio of assets. The Business Development Analyst will support the rest of the team in evaluating these assets for purchase.

The Director of Engineering is anticipated to have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Consults with Sr. Director of Construction and Director of Operations and Maintenance to create and satisfy long-range operating and construction goals specific to the needs of the organization.
- Develops new solar sites from concept to testing to production.
- Collaborates with business analysts, mergers and acquisitions, risk management, and finance teams to determine market potential for new projects.
- Oversees progress and timeliness of projects in pipeline.
- Reviews project reports to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
- Manages efforts to problem solve for engineering challenges and coordinates with project consultants and site managers.
- Works with project stakeholders, both internal and external, to develop and maintain the project engineering requirements and specifications.
- Plans and coordinates the work of engineering contractors and staff, ensures that they meet goals and objectives, recruits additional engineers as needed.
- Manages/coordinates with in-house electrical engineering team
- Maintains professional level of communication with management, construction teams, subcontractors, equipment and material vendors, owners and inspectors.

Skills & Expertise
- 5 to 7+ years track record of experience as an engineer, preferably in Utility-scale renewable energy in Virginia/East Coast. Engineers with experience in other industries and locales will also be considered.
- Strong technical understanding of drawings and specifications and able to add value to troubleshooting/problem solving communication with contractors and superintendents.
- Extensive technical knowledge of engineering and product and project development.
- Experience with design/build construction.
- Excellent financial skills and ability to analyze financial impacts of engineering requirements and challenges.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with strong initiative.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education, Training, & Certifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
At least 5 years of related experience required.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Mergers and Acquisitions Manager to be a driving force in the business development of Energix. This role will be central to shaping the future of our dynamic and growing company, playing a leading role in critical M&A, offtake, and finance efforts. Through a commitment to developing a strong knowledge of the market and taking a proactive approach to originating new business, this role will be highly impactful in both the day-to-day and long-term success of Energix. The M&A Manager will work out of the company headquarters in the Arlington, VA office.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and screen potential M&A opportunities, including companies, pipelines, and projects to be purchased by the company.
- Manage project finance and tax equity transactions.
- Lead offtake structuring and negotiation efforts for solar, battery, PV/BESS hybrid across the US.
- Negotiate the terms of M&A transactions and oversee deal closing.
- Identify suitable counterparties to sell the offtake and environmental attributes of projects;
- Build and maintain a good knowledge of the market, the different players in the industry, and the regulatory environment.
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders: regulatory, utilities, municipalities, corporates, developers, and business leaders.
- Oversee the due diligence process for potential M&A and/or tax equity transactions.
- As part of the Development team, you will be expected to have additional Development and Business Development responsibilities as needed to facilitate the growth of the company and the project pipeline.
Technical Skills & Expertise
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy, M&A, project development, origination, business development or relevant legal experience.
- Focus on and experience in the energy sector is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, finance or a similarly related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Familiarity with wholesale/retail electric supply markets, including PPAs, hedges, and/or capacity transactions and auctions if preferred.
- Impeccable customer relation skills, ability to interact with company personnel, external engineering firms, regulatory representatives, and ISO/RTOs representatives in a positive, team-building manner.
- Excellent work ethic, flexibility, teamwork, and continuous improvement mindset.
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

- Reading and analyzing complex agreements, including construction, procurement, finance, real estate, insurance, service provider, and supplier documents with careful attention to detail, identifying and extrapolating key information necessary for ongoing performance.
- Reviewing and analyzing contracts efficiently and accurately, working diligently and in an organized fashion to produce quality work product.
- Reviewing contracts to identify, track and ensure compliance with ongoing obligations.
- Managing an insurance portfolio and liaising with insurance brokers and related parties.
- Evaluating existing document management systems and procedures to determine current effectiveness and efficiency; identifying and recommending improvements as applicable.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding data security and document management.
- Communicating and consulting with colleagues across multiple teams to ensure performance of obligations on a recurring or as-needed basis.
- Establishing and implementing policies and procedures for document storage, sharing, and transmission.

The Controller performs various accounting and reporting activities that are essential to the accuracy of the financials. In addition to daily accounting operations, the Controller will be assigned additional responsibilities to make sure that best practices and that process and procedures are being followed. The Controller will play a key role in the Global financial statements compliance, by liaising with in-house and external finance and accounting professionals and providing them with the financial information to ensure full compliance with requirements.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform various accounting and reporting activities that are essential to the accuracy of the financials.
- Perform daily accounting operations, ensuring best practices, process and procedures are being followed.
- Ensure global financial statements compliance by liaising with in-house and external finance and accounting professionals and provide them with the financial information to ensure full compliance with US GAAP, IFRS and group policies’ requirements.
- Report directly to the CFO, internal and external financial reports, consolidations, budgets, establishment and following of the accounting policies and procedures, and provide leadership to the US accounting team.
- Involved in tax preparation, reporting and planning activities, and serve as trusted adviser to the CFO.
- Serve as a key technical accounting resource for the accounting organization, responsible for development of the staff, with significant interaction with the corporate office overseas and other functional leaders.
- Assist with the analysis of financial results and operational trends, maintain the integrity of the accounting systems and internal controls environment, and ensure financial statements are prepared according to the US GAAP with IFRS walk through.
- Lead the Assistant Controller, AP and Treasury functions in administering accurate and timely reports, costs allocations and payments, and its impact on the month-end process, distribution of monthly financial statements and its supporting schedules, and assist the FP&A department with yearly and projects budget/forecast.
- Design and implement improvements in financial processes to meet the company’s continuous improvement initiatives and maintain appropriate relationships with external auditors and tax advisers.
Qualifications
- CPA license required.
- Knowledge of PCAOB guidelines.
- Experience reviewing Section 404 internal control.
- Twelve (12) months in the job offered, Audit Manager, or related occupation.
- Master Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related major.
