Advancing the Future of Energy Storage in Poland

Energix has achieved a significant milestone in the development of Poland’s energy storage market with the qualification of Nowe Czarnowo I as the country’s first utility-scale battery energy storage facility authorized to provide ancillary services.

As renewable energy capacity continues to expand, energy storage plays a critical role in maintaining grid stability by enabling real-time balancing of electricity supply and demand. The qualification of Nowe Czarnowo I establishes an important framework for the integration of large-scale battery storage into Poland’s evolving power system.

This achievement reflects extensive collaboration across technical, commercial, and regulatory workstreams and represents a meaningful step toward enhancing energy security and supporting the continued growth of renewable energy generation.

A second facility, Nowe Czarnowo II, is currently progressing through the qualification process, further strengthening Energix’s commitment to developing flexible infrastructure that supports a reliable and resilient electricity network.

Energix is proud to partner with Axpo Group in advancing the deployment of energy storage solutions and contributing to the modernization of Poland’s energy sector.
